Inner Banks Laughter - Medical Humor

A woman went to the emergency room and was seen by a young and relatively new doctor. After about 3 minutes in the examination room, the doctor told her she was pregnant. She burst out of the room and ran down the corridor screaming.

An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was; after listening to her story, he calmed her down and sat her in another room. Then the doctor marched down the hallway to the first doctor's room. "What's wrong with you?" he demanded.

"This woman is 63 years old, she has two grown children and several grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?!!

The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without looking up said: "Does she still have the hiccups?"

Carpenter’s Tools - A Clean Slate . . .

By Pastor Wallace Phillips

Wander back in your mind with me to the day of the classroom for you. Remember when the teacher would have the chalkboard filled with assignments and information that was to be carried out on that particular school day? Also…remember when she started putting names on the board of those who were misbehavin’? That was followed by a check or two and then came the discipline. But…do you remember when the school day came to a close and she called upon a couple of students to clean the board. They would take that huge eraser and move it back and forth across the slate. It would be made clean and the teacher would close the day prepared for another one tomorrow. You got the clean slate. You got a fresh start awaiting you. That’s what you’re looking at with the beginning of the year 2008. You will start the new year off with new aspirations, new goals, new dreams and will remember no more the marks of the past. You will face new assignments for your life. And remember…”He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it.” Go for it. You’ve got a clean slate.
