Carpenter's Tools - Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff! . . . .

Well, I have personal experience to back up the quote, "Don’t sweat the small stuff." This past week I was trying to vacate a little from ministry and writing as I am working on my second book and trying to meet a publishing deadline. I wanted a few days to enjoy the water along the beautiful Chowan River and what do you know – RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. Well, the same time I am longing for some dry days to hit the water there is a farmer out there some where praying, "God, please….please….please send some rain upon these crops, Lord!" And sure enough, I am reminded that the Bible declares, "It rains upon the just and the unjust." I learned to relax and enjoy the rain.

The rains came to an end and I was able to hit the water and enjoy some boating….when all of a sudden, the boat quit. Oh no! The first day I’m able to get out here and we are sitting in the middle of the beautiful Chowan BROKE DOWN! Friends came to the rescue and we are back in business again. Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s the little foxes the spoil the vines. But we must remember that our lives are governed by a power bigger than us. "All things work together for the good of them who love the Lord" according to Paul in Romans 8:28.

And guess what? I’m in the right place at the right time and I’m EXPECTING HIS DIVINE BLESSING cause I ain’t about to sweat the small stuff. Enjoy your week in rain or shine.
