Carpenter’s Tools - Friendship . . . . .

By Pastor Wallace Phillips - September 14th, 2006

Today…I jumped in my vehicle and picked up a friend of mine; a colleague in the ministry. We rode. We talked. We shared. We vented. We remarked. We thanked. We laughed. We complained. We planned. We revisited. We smiled. We compared. We chuckled. We snacked. We allowed. We refreshed. We expressed. We rode. We talked. We shared. We vented. We remarked. We thanked. We laughed. We complained. We planned. We revisited. We smiled. We compared. We chuckled. We snacked. We allowed. We refreshed. We expressed. We rode….

Do you understand? You need friends. Here are a few remarks about friends –

“Friends are friends forever, if the Lord’s the Lord of them.” – Michael W. Smith

“A man who has many friends must show himself friendly.” – Solomon

“Friends are forever!” – Dr. Mark Muirhead

“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” – Solomon (again)

“What a friend we have in Jesus…” – Joseph Scriven

“Joy….you’re my best friend.” -- Wallace Phillips

Today, make it your goal to find a friend. Ride….talk….share…vent…remark…etc.
