Iglesia El Taller Del Carpintero
Literal translation, "Church The Shop Of The Carpenter". On Sunday August 21, 2005, a new church opened in Winton, North Carolina. It is the newest Spanish language church in the Assemblies of God pentecostal denomination. The name in Spanish is the equivalent of "The Carpenter's Shop Church" in English.

The need for the church was indicated by the opening day service crowd. It was packed. Here Pastor Wallace Phillips of the Carpenter's Shop Church in Ahoskie, the parent church, and Pastors Reginald and Rose Stone, install the new pastor for Iglesia El Taller Del Carpintero, Pastor Angel Casiano.
Dedication Ceremony Was Greeted By A Capacity Crowd
Pastor Wallace Phillips made the following observation, "I am always amazed at the awesome provision of the Lord for that which is His heart -- reaching people with the good news of Christ. Today was a divine example of that which God can do when people are obedient to His voice. The contributions of such individuals as Jeanette Smith, Melvin and Nancy Chamblee along with their children Chris and Donna, and Ted Lemmon have taken a Spanish Ministry that meets on Sunday upward in mobility to a sovereign church. God is faithful....and when He moves, He moves through His children." He then presented plaques as momentos to some of the people who made the church a reality to commemorate and recognize their service and efforts.

The day's services were concluded by the traditional "Dinner on the Grounds".
The Food Was Plentiful And The Drinks Were, Thankfully, Cold
It was a very hot day, but no one seemed to mind. Everyone pitched in after the service and tables and chairs were quickly set up under the shade trees behind the church.
